Complete Implant Dentistry

Are you missing teeth? Do you cover your mouth when you smile? Missing teeth can ruin your smile, your self-confidence, your bite and your chewing mechanics. The best way to correct this problem is with dental implants. Dental implants typically consist of three segments. The first segment is the implant itself, which is a titanium screw that we place in your jawbone to create a solid anchor for a tooth restoration or crown. This screw acts like a tooth root. Once the screw is placed, your jawbone will grow around it and create a tight seal in a process called osseointegration. The second segment is called an abutment. This connects the titanium implant to the tooth restoration.

Dental Implants Provide A Host Of Benefits

Dental implants do not require modifications to existing teeth or tooth structure the way dental bridges do. A dental implant will never get a cavity or need a root canal. A dental implant does not have to be removed when you sleep, unlike dentures and partial dentures. Whether you need a replacement for one missing tooth, or all of your teeth, there’s a dental implant solution that’s right for you.

In addition to single-tooth implants, there are mini-implants and implant-supported dentures. In some cases, we can anchor an entire upper or lower arch (14 to 16 teeth) using just four strategically placed dental implants to anchor an implant-supported denture. Dental implants look, feel and function just like your natural teeth, which is why they are the preferred solution to missing teeth.
